Will God Take Care of You?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (Matthew 6:26)
It seems pretty obvious that the main reason that God created birds was to show us how valuable we are to Him. Jesus said, “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing (the least possible amount)? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Heavenly Father knowing about it” (Matthew 10:29). Jesus also said, “Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God” (Luke 12:6).
Jesus is telling us that sparrows are extremely cheap birds. Sparrows are the most common of birds that we see. Yet, not even one of these cheap birds falls to the ground without the Father’s knowledge (Matthew 10:29). And not one is forgotten before Him (Luke 12:6). So will He forget you who are so much more valuable that all the birds put together? I assure you He won’t.
Jesus said, “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap no gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them.” And if your heavenly Father feeds the birds of the air, how much more will He feed you, meet all your needs, His most beloved child. Some may ask “well, why do I not see the supply”? The answer most likely is because we have allowed fear to creep in and produce worry and now we’re questioning God concerning our needs.
This is why Jesus also said, “Therefore take no thought or (do not worry), saying, What shall we eat? Or What shall we drink? Or What shall we wear”? For your Heavenly Father knows that you need these things” (Matthew 6:31-32).
Friends, if your heavenly Father cares for cheap, common birds, and feeds them every day, how much more will He care for you, His most precious child. Let your heart be at rest as you hear Him say to you, “Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:31). God will take care of you.
