We’re told in Joshua 24:13 “And I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them; you eat of the vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant”
In our series we ended a couple of weeks ago entitled, “Turning hopeless situations around”, we saw also in Deuteronomy 6 that God allowed the giants in the land prepared for Israel to build houses, furnish them, dig wells, and plant crops, so that when Israel got there all these blessings would be waiting on them.
God has promised, ‘I HAVE GIVEN you a land for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them, you eat of the vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant.” He did NOT say, “I MAY GIVE,” which means that it may or may not happen, but He said, “I HAVE GIVEN,” which means that it has already happened. It is only a matter of time before your revelation of what you have through the work of Christ brings forth the abundance that He has already blessed you with.
I heard a testimony once about a man who was in need of a car but he only had about half of what he thought he needed to buy the car. He finally realized he didn’t have enough and didn’t know how to get more. So, after hearing and reading scriptures on how God had already blessed him, he refused to give into frustration and decided to just rest in what God had promised him in the Word. After about a month he found a car that was actually newer than the other car he was trying to buy, that was a lot more money for almost the exact amount that he had.
We need to always be expecting diving provision in our lives because we are already blessed in Christ. Jesus took your place of poverty at the cross in the same way He took your sin and sickness. Jesus became poor that we might become RICH. (2 Corinthians 8:9)
In Him, you are poor no more. Let’s stop looking at the lack in our natural resources and start looking at the cross and say, “Because of Jesus’ finished work, we can expect to walk in all of His blessings that He has provided for us
