Philippians 4:19 says: “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”
If there is any lack in your life, whether it’s your finances, health, or relationships, you need to be assured that God has already prepared His abundant supply which will abound toward you. In John 6:1-13, Jesus was with a large crowd of people who were hungry. The problem was there wasn’t any food to speak of. But Jesus knew that where there was lack, there must be an abundant supply in His kingdom to overcome the lack.
Now His disciples were not aware of that. They did not think the same way Jesus did. They told Him that the only food they knew about was a little boys lunch consisting of two fish and five loaves of bread. And then they told Him, “What is this among so many?” (John 6:9).
The disciples only saw the problem, the lack. (We are guilty of this at times) But Jesus took the little, lifted it up as He looked to heaven and gave thanks to His Father, whose supply is so much more than we could ever ask for.
When Jesus started passing out the food, the little that was in His hands, something happened. A miracle. Five thousand men and their families ate all they wanted. The supply just kept coming as long as there was a need. When they were finished eating, we’re told there were 12 baskets left over. That is God’s abundant supply.
In God’s kingdom, there is no such thing as the Father not having enough or not giving His children what they need. No, He promises that He will supply ALL our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Friends, God wants us to always be conscious of His grace abounding toward us. So, let’s always acknowledge as Jesus did God’s abundant supply by thanking Him for it and for whatever is in our hands. Let’s believe that His abundant supply will flow and multiply the little that we have and fill us up to overflowing.
