Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17
When we think about our problems, we tend to see them as either big or small. Even when we pray for someone who is sick, we say things like, “You have a headache? No problem. Let us pray for your healing.” But if it is a life-threatening disease, we say, “Oh, we need to find someone with mountain moving faith to pray for you.” In our thinking, headaches is a minor problem whereas terminal diseases are big ones.
Now when thinking in the natural, that is certainly true. But God does not think that way. Our text says, “nothing is too hard for Him who made the heavens and the earth.” You see, with God, there is no such thing as a BIG problem. In fact, the BIGGER the problem, the EASIER it is for Him.
For example, in feeding the 5,000, it took only five loaves of bread to feed the multitude (Matthew 14:15-21). But in feeding the smaller multitude of 4,000, it took seven loaves (Matthew 15:32-38).
In man’s natural way of thinking, it should take more loaves to feed more people. But this is not so with God. It took fewer loaves to feed more people. But this is not so with God. It took fewer loaves to feed more people. This is God’s way of telling us that the BIGGER the problem, the EASIER it is for Him.
I am not saying that small problems are hard for God. But it is so encouraging to think that it is EASIER for God to heal cancers and other so called terminal diseases than it is headaches. Think about coming to God with a big problem. You tell your Father that you have a huge financial debt. He immediately tells you that it’s no problem for Him and that He will totally supply that need.
You could also come to God with the problem that you do not have a job and you’re having trouble finding one. You might be thinking, I don’t have the necessary qualifications being older and not being tech savvy like so many jobs require. Imagine God saying, I’ll take care of that. Just go ahead and consider yourself employed.
And in this new job, you want just to find a job, but you will receive a position. Friends, know for certain today that with God, it is never a problem because there is nothing too hard for Him. Isn’t that wonderful news? Praise God.
