Living The Good Life, TODAY!

There are many people who have a difficult time living TODAY. Have you ever been caught in the regrets of the past? Or have you ever feared the future? Regardless of what happened or may happen, we need to enjoy life NOW. In our text above it speaks of a RICH life. The word RICH means “full supply.”

The Amplified Bible says that Jesus came so you “may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” So, when does God want you to enjoy life to the full? TODAY! We can’t afford to live in the regrets of the past. But neither can we afford to fear the future. When people do either one of these, they become paralyzed. They don’t do anything or enjoy anything. In essence, they don’t have a life.

Some people are so caught up in yesterday that they only talk about what happened in the past, whether good or bad. Others are always looking to the future. They say, “Someday it’s all going to be OK.” But what’s wrong with TODAY?

I want to challenge you to live in the present. Live while it’s today. Psalm 118:24 (ESV) says, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” TODAY is the day to rejoice. TODAY is the day to enjoy God’s benefits. TODAY is the day of salvation and healing. TODAY is the day of deliverance, protection, and safety. TODAY is the day to overcome. And TODAY is the day of provision.

God’s favor and success are for TODAY, not tomorrow or yesterday. When you think about it, tomorrow never actually comes. Because when tomorrow gets here, it becomes TODAY. So, let’s live in TODAY. God wants to move in your life right now. TODAY is when you should experience what God has for you.

When the enemy comes against you with lack or sickness, declare, “THIS IS MY DAY. TODAY, I put my foot down. Satan, you will go no further in my life.” You have to get stubborn with the devil and tell him to take his hands off you in Jesus’ Name. Let this be your confession: TODAY, I can do what God says. TODAY, I can have what God says. TODAY, I can rise to be who God says I am. TODAY, I can live life to the full. TODAY, I can live in victory.

Live every day with an excited expectancy of what God wants to do for you. Forget whatever happened in the past and begin living with a fresh newness in God. Let TODAY be the day when you start living the good life God wants you to have. Glory to God.
